Ilgın Atalar, METU Environmental Engineering BSc (2006, with honors) and MSc degree holder (2008), brings nearly 20 years of international experience in environmental engineering, health, and safety. She began her career with STFA on the 424M $ Container Terminal Construction Project at Mesaieed Port, Qatar, gaining hands-on H&S experience managing a large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction site. She then advanced in consultancy in Golder/WSP, working across Turkiye, several countries in Europe and Africa in diverse sectors including delivering projects for International Financing Institutions such as IFC and EBRD.
Certified with the NEBOSH International Diploma and multiple professional safety qualifications, she is now based in Luxembourg and leads Amazon Europe's WHS Design and Engineering First Mile Team, serving as the technical safety authority for the execution phase of Europe's largest First Mile facilities.
