Our department student Rabia Güney participated in a significant event in her basketball coaching career.
Serving as Head Coach of the U12 and U14 Girls' Teams and Girls' Teams Youth Development Coordinator at METU Sports Club, Rabia had previously ranked 1st in her cohort in the Turkish Basketball Federation Coach Education Program and was listed on the TBF Education Board Honour List.
Following this achievement, she was invited — alongside other coaches on the honour list — to a Coaches Clinic held in Istanbul as part of NBA Basketball Without Borders Global 2026, organised in collaboration between the NBA and the Turkish Basketball Federation. She took part in the clinic on 27 August, which featured the participation of NBA head coaches.
